Hi,
I have three Dalmatians, 2 girls & a boy. My girls are around 24kg, 53 lbs, & my boy is still growing, but he’s around 22kg, 50 lbs, he’ll probably grow to around 58 lbs, which is the average.
If he is over weight that would also contribute. He could also be just a larger then normal Dalmatian but your probably right about him being a cross, as he sounds rather large.
I have a 7 yr old Dalmation and she usually runs between 60-70 lbs. Are there any other characteristics that are different that might suggest another breed? Male dogs can weight more than females. Is your Dal overweight at all? If your not planning on breeding him, then it shouldn’t be a problem. I worked at a vet clinic for 6 years and I’ve seen Dals of every size, some where only 30 lbs and I often wondered if mine was even purebred but ultimately it doesn’t matter. She’s the best buddy I could have, lol!!

Wow! He’s big!!! I’m a miniature dalmatian (bred at http://miniaturedalmatians.com ) . I’m just 22 lbs.
Is he as much a lap dog as I am?
Mine is a 9 yr female and she weighs 55lbs.
